Each and every moment presents an opportunity for us to know God. How does that occur? It starts when we turn to Him in times of crisis and realize that He is there for us. He has not abandoned us in our time of need and never will. It happens by us relying on Him more and more until eventually we rely on Him for everything. There is a safety and security in God that is like nothing else.

When we unabashedly and with abandon turn our life and care over to the will of God, we discover a closeness to Him that we were not aware previously existed. This closeness has been there since birth and has always been a constant force in our lives whether or not we were conscious of it.

I personally did not think it was possible to have a real relationship with God. I thought He was just this entity that I prayed to. In point of fact, I didn’t know what He was. I certainly did not think that I could know Him intimately.

The closer I get, the richer and deeper the relationship becomes. What an incredible gift it is, knowing Him intimately!

What has brought me to this phenomenal place is every challenge that seemingly was there to rob me of my peace. When I look back over my life I see the plethora of tests that led me here. I can now be truly appreciative of each and every one of them, but while immersed in them I could not see the upside. I had no idea where they were leading. I honestly thought that bad things just happen, and I had to deal with them. I did not understand that it was part of the Grand Plan (God’s Plan) and was all being orchestrated for me to develop a personal relationship with Him.

Now instead of fearing these occurrences I welcome them. I embrace them because I know where they are taking me: one step closer. Each step I take nearer to Him: the freer I become, the more peace I experience, the more joy I feel, the happier my heart is, the more light shines through me.

One day you will wake up to the knowledge that you never separated from your Source, that you are ONE WITH GOD, always have been and always will be for eternity.

The amazing news is that it is impossible to separate from God!

God’s Plan ultimately culminates in each of His children recognizing that they are one with Him! They always have been and always will be for eternity!

Knowing God is knowing yourself!
